A COURTESY VISIT OF THE BISHOP OF THE BUEA DIOCESE TO THE LORD MAYOR OF BUEA COUNCIL.
In view of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon slated for the 4th to the 11th of January 2025 in Buea, the Bishop of the Buea Diocese, His Lordship Bishop Michael Bibi Miabesue, paid a courtesy visit to the Lord Mayor of Buea, Barrister David Mafani Namange, on the 9th of December 2024 at the Buea Council Chambers. In the course of their discussions, the Bishop of Buea while thanking the Mayor for his constant collaboration, he appealed to the Mayor to assist in them rehabilitating some few roads that will be used by the visiting Bishops during the conference, waive some advertisement taxes etc. On his part, the Mayor assured him of his maximum collaboration as well as expressed his willingness to support the church to successful organize this epoch making event. According to him, the success of the event will not only be a success for the Buea Diocese but a success for the entire Buea Municipality.
He finally appreciated the Bishop for the numerous developmental projects carried out in Buea Municipality despite his short tenure as Bishop of Buea citing the well-designed Co-Cathedral in Molyko. The next rendezvous was then for the 4th to the 11th of January 2025.
