The architects of this new look, are young holidays jobbers retained by the management of Buea Council under the astute leadership of the Lord Mayor of the Buea Municipality, David Mafani Namenge Esq and his crank team. The holiday job program was officially launched on Tuesday the 25th July 2023, with the selection of 147 students. From Mondays to Fridays, these students are seen along the major boulevard clearing the shoulders of the road, emptying gutters, cleaning markets etc… to the admiration of the local population. These boys and girls are working under their supervision of Council workers.
The intention of the Council is that the stipend which will be handed to these students at the end of the program, will enable them to assist their parents during back to school come September.
